3 → Please read the following information before booking.

  • Pain is minimal! We use a topical anesthetic to numb the skin before beginning to microblade and during the entire procedure. Most clients feel very little discomfort during the procedure. Most have actually taken naps!

  • Microblading and/or Combo brows last 1-2 years depending on skin type, skin care routine and lifestyle. A yearly touch-up is recommended for maintenance. Powder Brows last about 2-3 years.

  • It usually takes between 2 to 3 hours depending on the thickness of your brows. Most of the time is spent numbing, going over colors and drawing the eyebrow shape. The microblading/shading itself will only take about 60-90 minutes.

  • Consultations prior to your appointment are not required. Before each appointment, we take the time to consult with you to fully understand the desired result. You may bring photos of brow shapes/brow styles that you like. We focus on designing the shape that is most suitable to your natural brows and bone structure, using our measuring tools and the golden ratio guidelines. We then show you the shape for approval and make any adjustments you request. We also test multiple pigments on your skin and choose the right color for your skin-type together before the procedure starts. We also discuss with you the different semi-permanent make-up techniques and which one will be more suitable for you based on your skin-type, lifestyle and desired results (for example: microblading vs. combo brows). However, if for any reason, at the time of your appointment, your procedure does not follow through, you will be charged the price of a consultation appointment, which is $100.

    • Those who are going through chemotherapy or have active cancer require a doctor’s note for microblading

    • Those who have had plastic surgery near the eyebrows in the past 3 months

    • Those who are taking steroids

    • Those who are taking or have taken skin medications (like Accutane, which thin and make the skin more sensitive) in the past 6 months

    • Those who are taking blood thinning supplements. No Vitamin E, Fish oils, Niacin, or any other blood thinning supplements 14 days before the procedure.

    • Those who are using AHA’s (Alpha Hydroxy Acids), or other acids and products for exfoliating, anti-aging, brightening, tone correcting or fading. They will discolor the eyebrows so make sure you stop them at least 2 weeks before your appointment.

    • Those who have had fillers done in the eyebrow area. Please wait at least 4 weeks before scheduling your appointment.

    • Those with acne around their eyebrows or flaky/sensitive skin as they will bleed more during the procedure and have poor color retention. They are also at more risk of scarring over time.

    • Those with more oily skin and larger pores. The microbladed hair-strokes might heal patchier, needing more frequent touch-ups. Combo Brows or Powder Brows are recommended for these clients.

    • Those with thick/coarse eyebrow hair. Combo Brows or Powder Brows are more recommended for these clients.

  • Follow all pre-appointment guidelines to ensure minimal bleeding and optimal pigment retention.

    Menstrual Cycles:

    • Avoid scheduling your procedure during this time. Your skin will be more sensitive and likely to bleed.

  • Aftercare is very important to the longevity and appearance of your eyebrows.

For the first 14 days after your appointment:

    • Wash daily to remove bacteria, build-up of product and oils, and dead skin. (Don't worry, this will not remove the pigment if you're gentle and quick).

    • Wash the area gently each morning and night with water and gentle soap or an unscented cleanser like Dial Soap, Cetaphil, or baby shampoo. With a very light touch, use your fingertips to gently cleanse the area.

    • Rub the area in a smooth motion for 10 seconds and rinse with water ensuring that all soap is rinsed away.

    • To dry, gently pat with a clean tissue. DO NOT use any cleansing products containing acids (glycolic, lactic, or AHA), or exfoliants.

    • After cleaning every morning and night, apply the provided aftercare ointment sparingly with a clean Q-tip by dabbing gently, not rubbing.

    • No other products should be used on the eyebrows such as lotion/moisturizer, make-up or sunscreen.

    • No scrubbing or picking at the treated area.

    • No sweating and exercising.

    • No swimming, hot sauna, hot bath, Jacuzzi.

    • No excess alcohol.

    • No touching the eyebrows except when cleaning the area and applying ointment .

    • No dirty places or heavy cleaning where there is lots of airborne debris.

Please avoid the following at all times after your appointment (for your eyebrows):

    • Chemical peels, laser treatments, facials, acne or anti-aging skincare containing glycolic acid or other acids and chemicals on the eyebrows. These will fade your color faster and may discolor your eyebrows.

    • Sun tanning or salon tanning. Wear a hat, sunglasses and apply sunscreen to protect your color from changing or fading faster.

    • Day 1 - Your eyebrows will be thicker, bolder and darker than they will be when healed. Expect light to moderate swelling and redness. Don’t be concerned. This is all part of the process.

    • Day 3 - Eyebrows start to itch and will appear a bit thicker in texture. Excess pigment surrounding the eyebrows begins flaking away.

    • Day 4 - The skin continues to flake, peeling from the outside edges first.

    • Day 5 - Color finishes flaking off and appears softer and grayer for a few days until color clarifies.

    • Day 6 - The color has lightened from its initial overly-dark appearance. For the next few days, the color may be lighter than what the final color will be.

    • Day 10 - The final color begins to stabilize and show through. The color will continue to soften as the eyebrows heal. Depending on your age and body regeneration, the complete healing process may take 4 to 6 weeks. Only then, you will see the final results, shape and color of your eyebrows.

    • If you experience any unexpected issues during the healing process please contact us for more instructions. Contact your physician immediately if you experience any of the following: fever, redness, swelling, tenderness, elevated body temperature, and/or any green/yellow discharge.

  • You will see great results after the first procedure. Little parts of the eyebrows may naturally slough off during the healing process or the color may heal slightly lighter. Results depend on each client’s undertones, whether they have very oily skin, how much they bleed during the procedure, etc. It is hard to accurately predict how the ink will heal. We recommend coming in for a touch-up appointment 4 to 8 weeks after your initial appointment to retouch the parts that need more work done and match the color as much as possible to your natural eyebrow hair. This is also the perfect time to add more thickness if desired.

  • Most clients need at least two sessions. Microblading and shading are considered multiple-session appointment processes. Healed results will vary for every individual client. Additional touch-ups may be required to achieve optimal desired results. Each client will heal differently depending on their skin-type and amount of bleeding during the procedure. In order for your new brows to heal properly (and look their very best) please follow all pre-appointment instructions and after-care.

  • Most of the time eyebrow tattoos, microblading, and permanent make-up cannot be fully covered up with microblading and/or shading. Previous work must be faded by at least 80-90% for us to be able to work over it and give you the best possible results. You must not have any scar tissue as this will affect your healed results. We do not perform corrections, removals, or touch-ups for other artist’s work. Every artist has different styles of shaping brows and uses different techniques or hair-stroke patterns.

If you have previous work and you think it’s faded enough, please email us a clear, close-up photo of your eyebrows with no make-up on so we can evaluate first before you book an appointment. Our email address is brows@domicroblading.com. An extra charge of $100 may apply for any cover-up/correction work.

  • We require non-refundable deposits for all appointments to ensure you are serious about your booking. This amount will be debited immediately upon booking and your remaining balance will be due on the day of your appointment. We reserve the right to cancel your appointment and you will be charged in full if:

    • You are a no-show.

    • You are more than 15 minutes late (as all appointments are booked back-to-back).

    • You fail to follow the pre-appointment instructions or review the contraindications list to prepare accordingly for your appointment.

If you need to reschedule your appointment, you may do so by emailing brows@domicroblading.com any time up to 72 hours before your scheduled appointment. In the event of cancellation, your deposit will not be refunded.

  • We kindly request that you do not bring children, other guests or pets with you to your appointment due to the length and nature of services we provide. We want to dedicate our full attention on you and not feel distracted while performing such detailed work on your eyebrows using very sharp tools. We are a licensed tattoo establishment so children and pets will not be permitted inside. Service dogs are allowed with their ID cards inside our lobby, however they cannot be with you in the procedure room and we cannot be responsible for them while performing your procedure.
